Be strong and courageous.....

A couple of verses come to mind tonight:

"Be strong and courageous do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

... Do not be afraid, for I am with you ..... Is. 43:5 (thanks Jacqueline M.)

and Psalm 116 (thanks Pastor EJ & Sharen)

Today we went to Hamilton to supposedly start my chemo. But the doctors want me to be assessed at Toronto Princess Margaret first to see about the spots on my brain. Because I had the seizure, they need to see what we are working with. They are going to assess me for this "picture lasor beam" thing that they do. (can't think of the word). Hopefully that will be assessed this week and they will call next week. The lungs and the tiny spot on my liver are a secondary thing at this point and they can hold off until they find out about the brain.

Prayer is powerful so I ask for your continued prayers for my family. Whether we live or whether we die - we know where our hope is - that is our security. My hubby and sons and daughter-in-law have been great through this - it is a tough journey.

Love to all the pray- ers and concerned people that read this blog.

Know that we are continually in prayer for all of you. This is not a road that you walk alone, but rather, with all those who love you and stand beside you. We also appreciate the frank updates. Our God is an awesome God!!

The kids and I did a prayer circle this morning and each of the kids prayed for different things for you. Mackenzie said " I like it when Grandma takes me to Rose City Kids"! Cole said "I like going to the office!" and Brady well..."She likes when you tickle her!" I pray for you and Dad continually, your strength through this only continues to amaze me. We love lots, Tiff and the kids.

We were very sorry to hear of this latest setback. Know that you are never far away from our daily thoughts. We pray for a blessing on the treatment options that are available to you. Continue to believe in the power of prayer and that God will provide whatever you are in need of.

John & Jocelyn,
You are never alone,
never left to your own ability,
never found in a situation apart from God's knowledge, control and purpose.
At this very moment- Jesus is taking your needs to the Father's throne.
As friends it's so hard seeing you go through this. All we want is for you to take hold of God's comforting truth and live each day with the faith that God is a powerful God and He is in control.God cares for you so much and we will continue to pray that you will find strength in His promise! Love John & Sonya & family

Dear Joc',

Have been keeping you and yours in my prayers and checking back time to time to see how things are going. Thanks so much for this place of postings and musings - helps me know how to pray and gives me cause to rejoice as well! Congratulations on yor new grandson!

My thoughts fo you this eveing..."My Redeemer lives and He shall stand on that day..." Between the Garden and Heaven is this life we know; joys and sorrows, losses and blessings. Sometimes both can seem too much to take in. What I love is that you get that God is wild about you and that this season says everything about His love and nothing about neglect. His eyes and heart are ever on you with great tenderness and joy that you are His!!

Love you and standing for you,
Cyn
