Tuesday September 9th 10:00AM Update

After a week of not feeling well, on Sunday, September 7th, Jocelyn received results from a Catscan that had revealed her cancer had come back, and has now spread to her brain. For those of you who do not know, Jocelyn had Colon Cancer 3 years ago. Yesterday the family met with a Neurosurgeon who has scheduled an operation for this Thursday September 11th. More tests will be needed over the next two days.

Our hope and faith is in God, we trust his will, and we have experienced the power of prayer in the past.

Jocelyn and the Family again are asking for your prayers in this difficult time. Our strength comes from God and the community that has so often surrounded us with their love.

The family will update this blog, and when Jocelyn is feeling up to it, she too will be adding some posts. Feel free to leave comments. We will be keeping you updated.

Dear Joc' and John,

Wow - I'm blown away. It was fantastic to see you at Mom's birthday party a few months ago - if only briefly. I'm so grateful for this kind of technology - how would I know to lift you up and pray for you if Mom hadn't sent me this link. I only wish it was a different reason for connecting!

Jocelyn you and your family (parents, sibblings)are some of the best parts of my childhood memories - I know you've been a blessings to so many others! I'll certainly be keeping you in my prayers - and your family, and know that God loves you so much more (above and beyond!) than is imaginable. And I'll check back here often.

Your courage is inspiring and your faith in the tender care of the Father demonstration of your wisdom. He is all in all.

Love you and will hold you close,
Cyn

So once again he will take you all in His Arms and watch over you all. Our Prayers will continue to ask God for the strength, the love and the care from all your family and friends and of course to you, Jocelyn, to keep smiling and praising God for the gifts he has given you. You have been such a blessing to me.
Happy moments, PRAISE GOD. Difficult moments, SEEK GOD. Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD. Painful moments, TRUST GOD. Every moment, THANK GOD

Father God,
You know Jocelyn, my friend so much better than I do. You know her sickness and the burden she carries. You also know her heart. Lord, I ask you to be with my friend now, working in her life. Let your will be done in her life. Lord, I pray for Jocelyn because your Word says I should pray for her healing. I believe you hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of your promise. I have faith in you to heal Jocelyn, but I also trust in the plan you have for her life. Lord, I don't always understand your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but I trust you. I ask that you look with mercy and grace toward my friend Jocelyn. Nourish her spirit and soul in this time of suffering and comfort her with your presence. Let Jocelyn know you are there with her through this difficulty. And may you be glorified in her life and also in mine.
Amen

I Love you. Please know that my prayers are with all of you.

I have and will continue to thank God for our friendship and for what you have come to mean in my life..

Dear Joceyln, you are on my mind constantly. This is so overwhelming and it also brings back so many memories. You are a great friend to our family and you were a great strength to me when i needed it. You always said that i was the one who was so strong and how John=Martin had taught yoou so much about strength, but now you ar the one who is showing us all how strong and courageous YOU are!!! You are always being thought of as well as John and the children. I know this is not wasy for them also for there is so much that is unknown right now. May the peace of God be with you as you enter surgery, and we pray for healing and a strong body and mind for you when it is over. If there is anything at all that i do for you will you please ask me..I'd love that, we love you...Love Martin and Brenda and Family

Hi Jocelyn! This blog is so cool, looking through the journey you are taking - I think we should all blog, in good times and bad. So I would love to stop in and probably will but when I do I will likely be a puddle on the floor and unable to be coherent so . . . I wanted to say to you. Jocelyn, you have been so much to so many people and touched so many lives over the years. You are, and have been for as long as I can remember an inspiration to so many. You have been someone I have admired and looked up to, a mentor of sorts though I'm sure you didn't even realize it. Just ahead of us in age,and so more experienced in life in so many respects --family, business, faith. We played the same roles of mother, wife, business partner with our husbands, finances and office work. It's an honour to be counted in your circle of friends. Rick Warren, in his book "The Purpose Driven Life" says something to the effect of our lives on earth being a preparation time for our life in eternity with God - that really makes sense and it's easy to imagine you being ready and prepared, because of the way you have set such a Christ like example and grown in faith. On the other hand, it's hard to see that your work here on earth may soon draw to a close. Then again, you have lived more life than the average 80-year-old I'm sure! I am praying for you but have confidence in the work Christ has done for us. Am especially praying for your family and loved ones. Love you, Jocelyn. . .in Christ,

Dear Jocelyn, John and family

What a blessing this blog is. Your faith and trust in our Almighty, Amazing God is an inspiration, and a true witness to how God carries us through the most difficult times. May He use your story to bring others into a loving relationship with him. Jocelyn, remember my story? Through the death of one of His own, and the great pain that it brought others, He brought me life. I am eternally grateful for that. He can take the worst in our lives here to bring the absolute best into someone else's life. He WILL use this to His glory. Thank you all for sharing. We keep you in our prayers daily. May he grant your every need and carry your and yours through this journey.

'Jesus, draw me ever nearer,
as I labor through the storm.
You have called me to this passing,
And I'll follow, though I'm worn.
May this journey bring a blessing,
May I rise on wings of faith.
And at the end of this hearts testing, in Your likeness let me wake.

Jesus guide me through the tempest,
Keep my spirit staid and sure.
When the midnight meets the morning, let me love you even more.
May this journey bring a blessing, may I rise on wings of faith. And at the end of my hearts testing, with Your likeness let me wake.

Let the treasure of the trial, form within me as I go, and at the end of this long passing, let me leave them at Your throne. May this journey bring a blessing, May I rise on wings of faith. And at the end of my hearts testing, with Your likeness let me wake.

Blessings, peace, and strength to you from the only One who can truly provide. We love you and we pray for you.

Rudy, Dorothy and family
